Usually the sun sends off Ultra Violet Radiation in the summer three times stronger than it does in the winter! Always make sure that you wear sunglasses even if you are having fun in the pool (or any other body of water).
Though summertime calls for the most attention when it comes to wearing sunglasses, if you are playing sports outside in sunny weather even during the wintertime, it is still recommended to wear your sunglasses.

You may want to make it on your list to purchase some darker shaded sunglasses though, just incase it is extra bright and sunny.
