Prescription Grey Contacts and White Contact Lens

Everyone has heard of contact lenses worn for prescription reasons. But what about just using them to change your luck? What if you don’t have any problems with your eyes? It might seem like a temptation to just go out and find some contact lenses. This is especially true if you only want them for one day or for a costume and that you want to wear. Many people think about this a little bit to late when their planning for a Halloween costume party. The truth is, you must have a prescription for regular cosmetic contact lenses.

However, this is not your standard eye prescription. In fact, it is simply to measure the size of your iris. You’ll be hard pressed to find a lens company that will sell you even cosmetic or novelty contacts. Since you need to be fitted first, you will need to give yourself enough time and plan ahead in order to get them. You don’t want to be one of these people that is sorely disappointed because they did not have have the necessary tools in order to get them. You also don’t want to get a pair that don’t fit correctly.

Think, for example, of grey contacts. These contacts have color and a space for the pupil. If the contacts do not fit correctly, two problems can occur. First of all, you can have the problem of the color extending past the point of your iris. This can cause them to irritate the white of your eyes. This can also cause and effect that you do not like. However, there is another problem that can occur. That problem would be not having enough space for your pupil. If you tried to drive in these ill fitting contacts, you would not be able to have any peripheral vision.

There are also other considerations to keep in mind. For example, if you want a white contact lens, you may not get what you want. If you just go and buy a pair of white lenses you may not have the effect you want. Part of the problem is that you will need to adjust for how dark or blue your original eye color is. Without a professional’s help, you will not know which intensity of white to order online. You would not want to try and get white and wind up with a blue or cloudy color.
