Green Contacts and Hazel Contacts in History

If you’ve ever wanted to change the appearance of your eye color you’re not alone. For many people, they find that plain brown eyes are boring. This is especially true if your iris is the same color as your pupil. For those that have extremely dark eyes, you may think that you can never wear colored contact lenses. However, this is not true. Even the darkest eyes can find colored contacts to be an asset. They can be used for daily use or just for parties. They are also not limited to a few colors.

There are so many colors to choose from in each shade that you are sure to find exactly what you need. You can also find the perfect color to match your skin tone. This is especially helpful to make them look completely natural.

In the 1980s, when colored contacts first came out, they were not of the same quality as today. They would often make your eyes slightly different. They were not, however, able to change your eye color completely. Instead, they worked by blending with your natural eye color. These were great options for people with light by colors. If you had very dark eyes, you usually had almost no color change at all. Even worse, if you had some success, your eyes would look very fake. This was not the effect that most people were looking for.

Changing your eye color with green contacts was next to impossible. You were lucky if you could get them to be a brown shade of green. Instead of creating a dramatic effect, you perhaps had minor color change. There was also the problem of having a colored ring around your iris. This made the whole idea of getting a natural look with colored contacts impossible. After all, why invest all of that money into something that wasn’t going to work in the first place?

Today, even someone with an extremely dark iris can use colored contacts. Even hazel contacts make a huge impact. You no longer need to worry about looking like you are wearing Halloween contacts. You also don’t need to have extremely light colored eyes. The look is very natural and you don’t need to worry about it blending in with your current eye color. Depending on the color of your skin, you can wear these contacts and no one ever knows but you are wearing them.
